Located in the heart of Nundah on Brisbane’s north side, Jump For Joy Health offers a unique blend of care that goes beyond the typical clinic experience. What began as a dedicated remedial therapy practice has evolved into a dynamic, movement-focused health hub led by our Director and resident Chiropractor, Dr Alex Bushell.
With over 15 years of hands-on experience in remedial therapy, rehabilitation, and personal training, Dr Alex brings a well-rounded, evidence-informed approach to each patient.
Operating out of Goodlife Nundah, we offer functional movement-based chiropractic care with a strong focus on neurological patterning and movement efficiency. Whether you're recovering from injury, striving for peak performance, or simply wanting to move pain-free, our care is tailored and individually designed to help you build strength through all planes of motion.
We’re also big believers in giving back. We love supporting local events, whether it's providing care at community fundraisers or collaborating with sporting teams. If you’ve got something coming up, let’s chat—we’d love to be involved!
Dr Alex has been getting people moving and feeling better for nearly 15 years. He kicked off his career as a sports therapist with the Queensland Reds and hasn’t looked back—working with everyone from elite athletes to everyday legends managing chronic pain and complex injuries.
With a big passion for pain management and performance, Dr Alex recently wrapped up his Master of Clinical Chiropractic in early 2024 and now blends chiropractic, remedial therapy, and movement-based rehab to help people get back to doing what they love (and doing it better).
He’s been a qualified Remedial Therapist since 2009 and added Personal Trainer to his toolkit in 2013. Not one to sit still for long, Dr Alex also spent several years teaching at the Australian Institute of Fitness, guiding and mentoring over 2,000 students through hands-on training and helping them understand the magic of mobility, movement and self-care.
These days, you’ll find him full-time at Jump For Joy Health, treating patients, cracking dad jokes, and continuing his postgraduate studies. He especially enjoys working with athletes and defence personnel, bringing a no-nonsense but empathetic approach to recovery and rehab.
When he's not in the clinic, Dr Alex is usually out in the wild chasing his kids, training for Spartan races, or planning the next outdoor family adventure.
New to the scene and self-confessed brain nerd in training, Dr Amy loves the nervous system (and caffeine!) and how chiropractic plays a role in its function.
While she is technically a new graduate, Dr Amy has been steeped in the world of allied health since 2018 and is no stranger to helping people feel better in their bodies. She's constantly learning, and may even geek out over your reflexes (fair warning).
If you haven't already guessed, Dr Amy is keenly interested in neuro-rehabilitation and how the nervous system drives function (aka. helping your brain and body talk it out!). She brings curiosity and care to practice and is passionate about helping people move, feel and connect better. Dr Amy combines evidence-informed chiropractic care with a genuine desire to learn alongside her patients. She provides chiropractic adjustments, mobilisations, soft tissue therapy, rehab exercises and education tailored to each individual's needs. Whether you're managing pain, recovering from an injury, or looking to optimise how your body and brain work together, she's here to support your journey - one adjustment, mobilisation and neural connection at a time!
Whether you're chasing PBs or chasing after your kids, we’re here to help you move better. Drop us a text on the number below and let’s talk!
